Cantonese Sweet And Sour Spam
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients and directions for this recipe
1 tb Cooking oil 1 tb Cornstarch
1 lg Carrot sliced diagonally 3 tb Each: sugar, ketchup and
6 Green onions, sliced 1/4 1 ts Soy sauce
-inch Vinegar
1 Clove garlic, minced 12 oz Spam, cubed 1/2 inch
1 sm Cucumber, cut into chunks 8 oz Bamboo shoots drained
2/3 c Water
In large skillet, cook oil over medium heat. Add carrot, green onion,
garlic and cucumber; cook, stirring occasionally until crisp tender
(4 to 5 minutes). Add remaining ingredients except Spam and bamboo
shoots. Cook, stirring, until sauce is thickened. Add Spam and
bamboo shoots. Cook until heated through. If desired, serve over
rice.
