F.c. Gingered Fruit Cup
Yield: 12 servings
Ingredients and directions for this recipe
1/2 c Sugar 1 pt Strawberries, hulled and
1/2 c Water Halved if large
3 sl Fresh Ginger (1/8" thick) 1 lb Seedless Green Grapes
1 sm Cinnamon Stick 1 Cantelope
Bring sugar, water, ginger and cinnamon stick to boiling in small
sauce pan, stirring constantly to dissolve sugar. Lower heat, simmer,
uncovered, for 10 minutes. Strain through sieve into a bowl. Cool to
room temperature. Add strawberries and grapes to syrup. Quarter
cantelope. Remove seeds. Cut into wedges, then crosswise into bite
size pieces. Add to bowl. Refrigerate, covered, until cold & serve.
