Nutty Fruit Conserve

Yield: 30 servings

Ingredients and directions for this recipe

5 c Pear -- coarsely chopped 1/2 ts Butter or margarine
18 oz Dried apricots -- coarsely 8 oz Slivered almonds -- coarsely
Ground Chopped
15 oz Golden raisins 1 Pouch
3 1/2 c Sugar Liquid fruit pectin -- 3 oz
1 ts Almond extract

In a large kettle, combine the first six ingredients. cook and stir
over medium heat until mixture thickens, bout 20 min. adding the
almonds during the last 5 min. quickly stir in pectin. Bring to a
full rolling boil and boil for 1 min. stirring constantly. Remove
from the heat; skim off any foam. Pour hot into hot jars, leaving 1/4
inch headspace. Remove air bubbles. Adjust caps. Process for 15 min.
in a boiling-water batj/ Yield: 5 pints.
