Quick Bean Soup

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients and directions for this recipe

2 ts Oil -drained and rinsed
1/2 c Chopped onion 15 oz Can chick peas, drained and
1 md Green or yellow bell -rinsed
-pepper, chopped 14 1/2 oz Can vegetable broth
1 cl Garlic, minced 2 ts Chili powder
15 1/2 oz Can great northern beans,

Heat oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat until hot.
Add onion, bell pepper and garlic; cook and stir 5 minutes or until
onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a
boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until thoroughly
heated.

Per serving: 230 cal., 10g pro., 34g carb., 10g fiber., 5g fat, 0mg
chol., 780mg sod., 270mg pot., 2 starch, 1 lean meat and 1/2 fat
exchanges.
