Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients and directions for this recipe
See instructions
Put about 2 gallons of water in a pot. Start the heat. Add about 1 and a
half cups of salt. Add a cup and a half of Cayenne (improvise at your whim
here). Add one half regular size bottle of onion powder and garlic powder.
Add some chili powder (how much?....just dump some in!). Add about a fourth
cup of white pepper.
Bring the water to a rolling boil. Dump in about 5 lbs of fresh green
peanuts (wash 'em....they grow underground ya know) Let them boil for 45
minutes. Add more water if necessary to keep them covered.
Turn off the heat and let them cool in the water......the longer they sit
in the water, the more spice they absorb. Taste them occasionally, till
they're right.
Drain and serve.
Eat 'em while they're nice and warm. I'd suggest a nice cold beer.....say
about a 1997 vintage..
You can freeze em, just dump em in boiling water to thaw and serve.
